# Execute actions in the browser — Google Chrome Botize method — `btzchrome.execute_commands` (action). Interact with the browser by executing a sequence of specific actions. This is an action: it runs as a step of a task. Several can be chained. ## Fields you set The field's internal name, its type and the values it accepts. These fields accept `{{...}}` tags from earlier steps. - `mb_switch` *(boolean)* — Rules - `raw_job` *(string)* — Actions. Fill this with a JSON recipe: `{"steps":[ ... ]}`. Steps run in order; if one fails, the recipe stops. **Actions** (the `action` of each step): - `navigate` — `{"action":"navigate","url":"https://..."}` - `click` / `type` — target an element by its ARIA `role` + `name`, e.g. `{"action":"click","role":"button","name":"Sign in"}` or `{"action":"type","role":"textbox","name":"Email","text":"a@b.com"}` - `get_aria_tree` — list the page's interactive elements (role + name) so you know what to click/type next - `screenshot` — capture the tab; add `"max_width":1024` and `"quality":40` for light captures - `wait` — `{"action":"wait","ms":1000}`; also `extract`, `get_landmark_text`, `extract_repeating_items`, `get_cookies` **See the page after acting:** add `"observe":"interactive"` at the top level of the recipe and it returns the actionable elements once the page settles, so a lone action comes back self-describing instead of blind. **Example:** `{"observe":"interactive","steps":[{"action":"navigate","url":"https://example.com"},{"action":"click","role":"button","name":"Menu"}]}` Full reference: https://botize.com/en/method/btzchrome/execute_commands - `slot` *(string)* — Tab name. Optional name of a persistent tab in your paired browser (extension backend) where this recipe runs. The extension creates and reuses that tab across jobs; it shares your Chrome session, so you remain logged in. Different names run in parallel tabs. Empty = use the tab bound to your token (classic behaviour). Ignored by a cloud profile (anonymous Chrome in the cloud). - `incognito` *(boolean)* — Incognito window. Run the 'Tab name' tab in an incognito window (separate cookie jar, i.e. an isolated session of the same site). Only takes effect together with a 'Tab name'. The Botize extension must have 'Allow in incognito' enabled in chrome://extensions. Ignored by a cloud profile (anonymous Chrome in the cloud). - `screenshot_max_width` *(string, one of: "" = Original; "1280" = 1280 px; "1024" = 1024 px; "768" = 768 px)* — Screenshot resolution. Downscale screenshots to at most this width in pixels (e.g. 1024). Empty = original size. - `screenshot_quality` *(string, one of: "" = High; "60" = Medium; "40" = Low)* — Screenshot quality. JPEG quality for screenshots, 10–100 (lower = lighter file). Empty = 75. - `mb_outputvars_switch` *(boolean)* — Customize tags It also accepts repeatable field groups, with these prefixes: `mb_filters_*`. These are composite components (buttons, filters, keyboards); the trailing number is set by the user as they are added. ## Output variables Data this step makes available. Reference them in later steps with the double-brace tag. - `{{url}}` *(text)* — URL. URL - `{{browser_data}}` *(array)* — Data from Browser. Data from Browser - `{{screenshot_url}}` *(text)* — Screenshot URL. Public URL of the screenshot taken by the browser (if a screenshot action was included in the recipe) - `{{status_code}}` *(int)* — Status Code.
