# Send Prompt — OpenAI ChatGPT Botize method — `chatgpt.send_prompt` (action). Send a prompt to GPT, optionally along with an image, and receive a text message in response. This is an action: it runs as a step of a task. Several can be chained. ## Fields you set The field's internal name, its type and the values it accepts. These fields accept `{{...}}` tags from earlier steps. - `mb_switch` *(boolean)* — Rules - `system_content` *(string)* — System message - `user_content` *(string)* — User message - `image_url` *(string)* — Attached image URL - `document_url` *(string)* — Attached document URL (PDF) - `model` *(string)* — Model - `web_search_preview` *(boolean)* — Allow model to search the web for the latest information before generating a response - `uid_session` *(string)* — Unique identifier for the user - `file_search_vector_store_ids` *(string)* — Let the model search your files before responding - `directory_id` *(string)* — Allow model to execute tasks from a directory - `reasoning_effort` *(string, one of: "" = None: Default; "minimal" = Minimal: Produces very little reasoning (only in GPT-5 Nano, GPT-5 Mini, GPT-5); "low" = Low: Favored speed and fewer tokens; "medium" = Medium: Default balance; "high" = High: Favored more thorough reasoning; "xhigh" = Extra high: Reasons more than High (only in GPT-6 Astra); "max" = Maximum: The most thorough reasoning available (only in GPT-6 Astra))* — Reasoning effort - `verbosity` *(string, one of: "low" = Low detail: Concise answers or simple code generation; "medium" = Medium detail: Default value; "high" = High detail: Full explanations or extensive code, default: "medium")* — Level of detail - `temperature` *(string, one of: "1" = 1: Default; "0.9" = 0.9: Creative applications; "0.8" = 0.8; "0.7" = 0.7; "0.6" = 0.6; "0.5" = 0.5; "0.4" = 0.4; "0.3" = 0.3; "0.2" = 0.2; "0.1" = 0.1; "0" = 0: well-defined answer)* — Temperature - `max_tokens` *(string)* — Max Tokens to use - `remove_quotation_marks` *(boolean)* — Remove any potential quotation marks from the beginning and end of ChatGPT's response - `json_tools` *(string)* — JSON Tools - `previous_tool_result` *(string)* — Previous Tool result - `mb_outputvars_switch` *(boolean)* — Customize tags It also accepts repeatable field groups, with these prefixes: `mb_filters_*`. These are composite components (buttons, filters, keyboards); the trailing number is set by the user as they are added. ## Output variables Data this step makes available. Reference them in later steps with the double-brace tag. - `{{content}}` *(text)* — Text. Predicted completion. e.g. This is a test - `{{finish_reason}}` *(text)* — Finish reason. reason why the resulting text has terminated. e.g. lenght - `{{prompt_tokens}}` *(int)* — Prompt tokens. Number of tokens in the Prompt. 1 token ~= 4 chars in English - `{{completion_tokens}}` *(int)* — Completion tokens. Number of tokens in the Completion. 1 token ~= 4 chars in English - `{{total_tokens}}` *(int)* — Total tokens. Prompt tokens + Completion tokens - `{{tool_name}}` *(text)* — Tool name. Name of the function the model wants to call. Only present when json_tools is used and the model returns a tool call instead of text. - `{{tool_payload}}` *(text)* — Tool payload. JSON string with the arguments for the tool call. Pass the result back using the previous_tool_result field. ## Account Needs a connected OpenAI ChatGPT account in Botize: https://botize.com/en/app/chatgpt/authenticate ## This app Every trigger and action for OpenAI ChatGPT: https://botize.com/en/app/chatgpt.md ## How to build this An AI assistant (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor…) can create and edit these tasks in the user's account through the Botize MCP connector, included in every plan: https://webhook.botize.es/mcp - Connection guide: https://botize.com/en/mcp - Agent map: https://botize.com/llms.txt - New account: https://botize.com/en/join (500 free operations, no card) --- Machine-readable summary for AI assistants.
