# Save text string to Dropbox — Dropbox

Botize method — `dropbox.save_string` (action).

Save a text as a file in Dropbox, allowing you to specify the name and destination folder. If there is a file with the same name, it allows you to automatically rename the new file and avoid overwriting.

This is an action: it runs as a step of a task. Several can be chained.

## Fields you set

The field's internal name, its type and the values it accepts. These fields accept `{{...}}` tags from earlier steps.

- `folder` *(string)* — Destination Folder
- `file` *(string)* — Destination filename
- `string` *(string)* — Text string
- `autorename` *(boolean)* — If there's a name conflict, have the Dropbox server try to autorename the file to avoid conflict.
