# Send a message — Telegram Bot

Botize method — `telegrambot.send_message_photo` (action).

Send a message, an image/video/document or both to a specific chat, group or channel.

- The following tags are currently supported in the messages: b, strong , i, em, u, ins, s, strike, del, a, code, pre.
- You can include URL Buttons and Callback Buttons in posts.

This is an action: it runs as a step of a task. Several can be chained.

## Fields you set

The field's internal name, its type and the values it accepts. These fields accept `{{...}}` tags from earlier steps.

- `chat_id` *(string)*
- `mb_switch` *(boolean)* — Rules
- `text` *(string)* — Text to post
- `photo` *(string)* — URL of the media element (comma-separated images, video, or file) to send
- `media_position` *(string, one of: "" = Show media above text; "down" = Show media below text; "attachment" = Show media as attachment)* — Media position
- `message_thread_id` *(string)* — Post within a specific Thread (Topic) ID
- `disable_link_preview` *(boolean)* — Disable link preview
- `disable_notification` *(boolean)* — Sends the message silently. Users will receive a notification with no sound.
- `mb_outputvars_switch` *(boolean)* — Customize tags

It also accepts repeatable field groups, with these prefixes: `mb_filters_*`, `button_text_*`, `button_type_*`, `button_value_*`, `button_size_*`, `keyboard_type_*`, `keyboard_value_*`. These are composite components (buttons, filters, keyboards); the trailing number is set by the user as they are added.
