# Instantly when someone requests to join a group or channel — Telegram Bot

Botize method — `telegrambot.webhook_chat_join_request` (trigger).

It is triggered every time someone requests to join a group or channel where the bot is an administrator with the right to invite users, and the chat has join approval enabled. It publishes the identifier of the private chat with the requester: the bot can write to that chat during 5 minutes, even if the person has never talked to it.

This is a trigger: it starts the task. A task has exactly one.

## Fields you set

The field's internal name, its type and the values it accepts. These fields accept `{{...}}` tags from earlier steps.

- `chat_source` *(string, one of: "any" = Task runs when someone requests to join any chat; "target" = Task runs when someone requests to join a specific group or channel, default: "any")*
- `chat_id` *(string)*

## Output variables

- `{{from_id}}` *(int)* — User Id. ID of the user who requested to join.
- `{{from_name}}` *(text)* — Name. First name (and last name, if any) of the user who requested to join.
- `{{from_username}}` *(text)* — Username. Username of the user who requested to join. Optional: it may arrive empty.
- `{{language_code}}` *(text)* — Language code. IETF language tag of the user's Telegram client ('es', 'en-GB', 'pt-BR'). Optional: it may arrive empty.
- `{{chat_id}}` *(text)* — Chat Id. ID of the group or channel the user wants to join.
- `{{chat_title}}` *(text)* — Chat title. Title of the group or channel the user wants to join.
- `{{user_chat_id}}` *(text)* — Private chat Id. ID of the private chat with the requester. Use it as the chat of a 'Send message' step: the bot can write there during 5 minutes after the request, until it is approved or declined.
- `{{bio}}` *(text)* — Bio. Bio of the user, as shown in their Telegram profile. Optional: it may arrive empty.
