API Credentials for AliExpress Affiliates

Guide to obtaining tokens, keys, and connections.

To connect to the AliExpress Associates API you need two credentials: the "App Key" and the "App Secret." Both are generated in the AliExpress developer console after you request access to the Affiliates API. Below are detailed steps to obtain them.

App Key

    Open your browser and go to https://portals.aliexpress.com (the affiliates portal). Sign in with your regular AliExpress account.

    In the left‑hand menu find the «Tools» section and click «API». Press the «Apply Now» button. If the system asks you to log in again, do so.

    The portal will redirect you to https://open.aliexpress.com, the developer platform. Click «App Console» in the upper‑right corner.

    Inside «App Console», go to «App Management» and click «Create App». Select the type «Affiliates API» (or «Self‑Developer», wording may vary).

    Fill out the form: • «App Name» (any easy‑to‑recognize name) • «Callback URL» (enter https://webhook.botize.es) • A short description (e.g., "Product search and affiliate links") • Upload any icon (mandatory even though the automation won’t use it).

    Click «Submit». You’ll return to the applications list with a confirmation message.

    In the app list you will see the app you just created. Click «Manage» and then «Apply Online» (if shown) to activate affiliate permissions. Enter a simple reason — for example, "Search products and share affiliate links" — and confirm.

    Once your request is approved (it usually takes from a few minutes to 1‑2 business days), go back to «App Management», click your app’s name, and copy the value shown in the «App Key» field. Save it: this is your public identifier for the API.

App Secret

    With the same app open in «App Management», locate the section called «App Certificate» or a «View» button next to «App Secret».

    Click «View». The system may ask for an SMS code or email verification before revealing sensitive data.

    A long string of letters and numbers will appear: that is your «App Secret». Copy it and keep it in a safe place. You need both the App Key and the App Secret to sign every API request.

    All set! You can now paste both values into Botize (or any other tool) and start making requests to the AliExpress Affiliates API.
