API Credentials for Amazon Associates

To connect your application to the Amazon Affiliates API (Creators API) you need four pieces of information: the "Affiliate code (Partner tag)", the "Credential ID", the "Credential Secret", and the country or marketplace where you registered (Spain, Mexico, etc.). Below are the steps to obtain each one.

Affiliate code (Partner tag)

   Go to the Amazon Associates website for the country where you registered (for example https://partnernet.amazon.es for Spain or https://afiliados.amazon.com.mx for Mexico).

   Sign in with your affiliate account.

   On the main page you will see your "Tracking ID"; Amazon may also call it "Store ID". This text ending in "-21", "-20", etc. is your Partner tag.

   Copy it exactly as it is (e.g. "mitienda-21").

Credential ID and Credential Secret

   Inside the Amazon Associates portal, open the "Tools" menu and select "Creators API".

   Click "Create App". You will be asked to provide a name for the application. You can enter, for example, "botize", and then click the "Create" button.

   You will then be shown your "Credential ID" and "Credential Secret". Copy them to a safe place and click the "I have saved this information" button.

Country / Marketplace

   Confirm which Amazon Associates program you registered for (Spain, Mexico, United States, etc.). Each country has its own portal and Partner tag.

   That same country is the one you must select in Botize.
