Guide to obtaining tokens, keys, and connections.

Install the extension in Google Chrome
-
1
Download the Botize extension for Google Chrome here.
-
2
Locate the downloaded file (btzchrome.zip), right-click it and select 'Extract All' (Windows) or double-click it (Mac). This will create a folder with the extension files.
-
3
Open the Chrome extensions manager by entering chrome://extensions in the address bar.
-
4
In the top-right corner of the extensions page, enable the 'Developer mode' toggle.
-
5
Click the 'Load unpacked' button. Select the folder you extracted in step 2 and confirm.
-
6
The extension 'Botize for Google Chrome' will appear in the list. You can also access it from the puzzle icon in Chrome’s toolbar.
Connect Chrome with Botize
-
1
Open the Chrome connection page: Connect Chrome.
-
2
Enter a descriptive name to identify this connection, such as 'Facebook personal', 'WhatsApp work', or 'Amazon'. This name will be used to assign tasks to this tab from your automations.
-
3
Click 'Authorize' to save the connection. Botize will register the name and make it available in your automations.
Activate the tab from the extension
-
1
Open the automation where you want to use Chrome. If you have multiple Chrome connections, you can select one from the dropdown at the top.
-
2
Inside the automation, click 'Show access token' and copy the code.
-
3
Open in Chrome the page you want to automate in a tab (it can be a new tab or an incognito window).
-
4
Click the Botize extension icon in Chrome’s toolbar. If you don’t see it, open the puzzle icon and pin the extension.
-
5
Paste the token into the 'Tab token' field and click 'Activate tab'. The tab will be linked and Botize will be able to send jobs to it automatically.
