API Credentials for Google Chrome

There are two ways to use Chrome in your automations: your own Chrome (with your open sessions) or an anonymous Chrome browser in the cloud. Each connected Chrome shows up as one more connection, with the name you give it.

My Chrome: install the extension

   Download the Botize extension for Google Chrome here.

   Locate the downloaded file (btzchrome.zip), right-click it and select 'Extract All' (Windows) or double-click it (Mac). This will create a folder with the extension files.

   Open the Chrome extensions manager by entering chrome://extensions in the address bar.

   In the top-right corner of the extensions page, enable the 'Developer mode' toggle.

   Click the 'Load unpacked' button. Select the folder you extracted in step 2 and confirm.

   The 'Botize Browser Automation' extension will appear in the list. Pin it to Chrome's toolbar from the puzzle-piece icon to keep it handy.

My Chrome: connect it with Botize

   Open the extension in the Chrome you want to use (click its icon in the toolbar).

   Press 'Connect with Botize' and give this Chrome a name, for example 'home' or 'laptop'. Use only lowercase letters, numbers, _ and -, 24 characters max.

   Done: it will show up as one more Chrome connection and you can pick it in your automations. Connecting again with the same name updates that connection instead of creating another one. There is nothing to fill in on Botize's 'Connect' page for this option.

Anonymous Chrome browser in the cloud

   Open the Chrome connection page: Connect Chrome.

   Choose 'Anonymous Chrome browser in the cloud'. It does not need your PC on, but it has none of your sessions: it is not signed in anywhere.

   Keep the name 'nube' or type another one (lowercase letters, numbers, _ and -, 24 characters max) and press 'Authorize'. If the name is not valid you will see an error and nothing is created.
