API Credentials for Anthropic Claude

Guide to obtaining tokens, keys, and connections.

To use Claude’s API you only need one piece of information: the Secret Key for your Anthropic account. Below you’ll find step‑by‑step instructions for obtaining this key from Anthropic’s web console.

Secret Key

    Open your browser and go to https://console.anthropic.com. If you don’t have an account yet, click “Sign Up”, create one with your email, and confirm your email (and phone number if asked).

    Log in. On the main screen, click your name (top‑right) and select “API Keys” from the side menu.

    Click “Create Key” (or “+ Create API Key”). Give the key a descriptive name, e.g., “Botize”, and confirm.

    Your new secret key will be shown only once. Copy it immediately and store it somewhere safe (password manager, encrypted file, etc.). You won’t be able to view it again later.

    If the console asks for billing information, add your card under “Billing → Payment Methods” and purchase the credits you need before calling the API.
