API Credentials for CoinMarketCap

Guide to obtaining tokens, keys, and connections.

Follow these steps to get your CoinMarketCap API Key. You don’t need technical knowledge—just follow the instructions and you’ll have your key ready in a few minutes.

Get your CoinMarketCap API Key

    Go to the official website https://coinmarketcap.com and sign in with your account. If you don’t have one, click “Sign Up” and complete the basic registration (email, password, and email verification).

    Once logged in, in the left-hand sidebar click the “Overview” section. This menu appears in your profile or user dashboard.

    Inside “Overview,” find the section titled “API Key.” You’ll see a box showing your key, or a “Generate Key” button if you haven’t created one yet.

    If you see the “Generate Key” button, click it to create a new key. The page will display a string of letters and numbers: that’s your personal API Key.

    When your key is visible, click the “Copy Key” button next to it. This copies the key to your device’s clipboard so you can paste it wherever you need.

    Store your API Key in a safe place. Do not share it with anyone, as it’s your personal access to the CoinMarketCap API.
