API Credentials for Holdout

Guide to obtaining tokens, keys, and connections.

To connect Holdout to Botize you need your Holdout API Key. It is one key for your whole account: you connect Holdout once, and in each Shorten URL step you choose which of your channels the link belongs to. A channel is each place where you post your deals: a Telegram channel, a WhatsApp group, a website… Holdout is free for Botize users. Holdout API Key

    Go to https://holdout.deals and click "Create an account" (or "Log in", top right, if you already have one). There is no password: type your email in "Your email" and click "Send me a code".

    Check your email: you will get a six-digit code that expires in ten minutes. Type it in "The code" and click "Log in".

    On the "Your channels" page, create one channel for each place where you post: type its name in "Channel name" (for example, "Telegram gadgets") and click "New channel".

    Back on "Your channels", below the list, the "API key" section has your key. Click "View API key" and then "Copy": it starts with hdk_.

    In Botize, when you connect the Holdout app, paste the key in the "API Key" field. The connection takes your account's email as its name, and it works for all your channels.

    In each Shorten URL step, choose the channel in the "Channel" field. The list shows the channels of your Holdout account; if you create one later, it shows up there too.

    If you need the key again, it is always in the "API key" section of "Your channels". "Regenerate" gives you a new one, but the old one stops working immediately and you will have to connect Holdout again in Botize.

    Each channel's click stats and suggestions are on its holdout.deals page. Suggestions ("Try a product") turn on once the channel has 8 deals with a title and 20 clicks, so fill in the title and price when you shorten links in Botize.

    Did you connect Holdout before September 26, 2026, with the key of a channel? It still works, and its links go to that channel. To choose the channel in each step, connect Holdout again with your account key, then revoke the old one on the channel page ("Old channel key").
