API Credentials for Whapi
Guide to obtaining tokens, keys, and connections.
To use the Whapi.cloud API you need two pieces of information: the “Channel ID” (the unique identifier of the phone you connect) and the “Token” (the key that authorises your calls). Below you’ll find detailed steps to obtain both of them from the Whapi.cloud dashboard.
Channel ID
-
1
Sign up on Whapi.cloud and log in to your personal dashboard; the system will automatically create a free channel linked to your account.
-
2
In the list of channels, click the newly created channel to open its configuration page.
-
3
Open WhatsApp on your phone → Settings → Linked devices → “Link a device” and scan the QR code displayed by Whapi.cloud.
-
4
Once the QR code is validated, the page will reload and show a code labelled “Channel” (a string of letters and numbers). Copy this value: it is your Channel ID.
Token
-
1
On the same screen where you saw the Channel ID, you’ll find a field labelled “Token” or “API Token”. It is generated automatically when the channel is created.
-
2
Click the copy icon (or select and copy manually) to save the Token to your clipboard.
-
3
Congratulations! You now have both pieces of information needed to enter in Botize and start automating tasks with Whapi.
