FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Why is Botize not showing me any fan page or not showing me the page I'm looking for so I can select it?
- 1. You don't have any pages assigned to your Facebook account.
Facebook only shows the pages that you have assigned to your Facebook account. If you don't have any pages assigned, they won't be shown in the results. - 2. You don't have administrator permission for the page you're looking for.
Facebook only allows access to fan pages that you have access to and with administrator permissions.
Why is it not possible to get a link of the type https://www.facebook.com/share/p/XXXXX/ in my Facebook posts?
permalink_url, with a format like: https://www.facebook.com/{page_id}/posts/{post_id_number}, which is the only one that the API contemplates and allows you to use.Troubleshooting
Common Errors
Error 190-460: Error validating access token: The session has been invalidated because the user changed their password or Facebook has changed the session for security reasons.
To resolve this issue, you need to reauthorize the application.
HTTP Internal error code 28
Error 190-463
You need to renew the access token by accessing https://botize.com/en/app/fpages and clicking the 'Add a new profile' button.
Error 368-1404112: For security reasons, your account has limited access to the site for a few days. If you have any questions, please contact our Help Center.
This type of block usually lasts a few days and resolves itself, but while it's active, it won’t be possible to publish or perform automated actions through Botize.
We recommend waiting a few days and trying again later. If the issue persists, log in directly to your Facebook account and check for any notifications or active restrictions.
Error 10-: (#10) Application does not have permission for this action
Error 368-1390008: We limit how often you can post, comment or do other things in a given amount of time in order to help protect the community from spam. You can try again later.
1. Pause the automation for a few hours. This is the important part, and the step most people skip. As long as the task keeps trying to publish, every failed attempt counts again and the block is renewed. Pausing it is the fastest way to get Facebook to lift it.
2. Wait. This block is temporary and lifts by itself. It usually lasts from a few hours to a few days, depending on how many times it has been triggered.
3. Slow down before turning it back on. Posting every few minutes, or repeating the same image or the same link over and over, is exactly what triggers the restriction. Spacing out your posts and varying the content prevents it from happening again. If your automation runs on every incoming message or every new item, adding a filter so it publishes less often is usually enough.
You can check whether your Page has active restrictions in its Page quality section, inside the Page settings on Facebook, or visit the Facebook Help Center.
Error 368-4854002: To post on behalf of this Page, you need to confirm your identity. Open the Facebook app on your phone and follow the instructions.
How to fix it: open the Facebook app on your phone using the account that manages the Page. You will see a notice asking you to confirm your identity; just follow the steps. It usually asks for a photo of an ID document or a selfie, and the review normally takes from a few hours to a couple of days.
The notice only shows up inside the mobile app: if you log in from a computer you may well never see it and it will look like nothing is happening. Once Facebook confirms your identity, your automation will start publishing again on its own, with nothing to change in Botize.
In the meantime, if you would rather the task stopped piling up errors, you can pause it and turn it back on later.
